Youth from Beirut and Tripoli joined again for a friendly football match to build bridges through sports! As part of the “Getting Together – Youth Exchange Program” and as a means of commemorating and honoring the memory of the late Mrs. Hedwig Waltmans-Molier, spouse of his excellency Mr. Jan Waltmans, the former Ambassador of the Netherlands to Lebanon, MARCH organized a friendly football match to foster tolerance and acceptance of differences between youth from Tripoli and Beirut. The youth received professional football training and psychosocial support sessions in the past months to prepare for the match. This cultural gathering granted diverse communities an opportunity to meet, develop bonds, and realize that they have more in common than what they’ve been led to believe.
