“I saw a totally different image of the soldiers than the one we had feared.”
Former enemies from Jabal Mohsen, Beb el Tebbeneh, and other marginalized areas in Tripoli, along with army members from the second brigade came together for a two-month agricultural project at the Araman army base. The Lebanese army opened its doors to this inspiring cooperative initiative and all together challenged prejudice and differences to build bridges, foster trust and understanding between communities and security institutions.
Together, we cultivated over 4,500 square meters of potatoes and set up three greenhouses to support sustainable food production, providing affordable vegetables for more than 2,000 Lebanese army members and their families.
This powerful example showcases the importance of unity and cooperation in promoting peace and stability. Let’s continue to break down barriers and build a better future for all.

متخاصمين سابقين من جبل محسن وباب التبانة وغيرها من المناطق المهمشة في طرابلس تعاونوا جنبًا إلى جنب مع أفراد من اللواء الثاني في الجيش اللبناني، في مشروع زراعي دام لشهرين في قاعدة الجيش في عرمان.
فتح الجيش اللبناني أبوابه لهذا التعاون، ومعًا تحدوا جميع الأحكام المسبقة والاختلافات وذلك من أجل تعزيز الثقة والتفاهم ومدّ الجسور بين المجتمعات والمؤسسات الأمنية.
معًا، زرعنا أكثر من 4,500 متر مربع من البطاطا وأقمنا ثلاثة خيم زراعية لدعم الإنتاج الغذائي المستدام، ووفّرنا الخضروات بأسعار رمزية لأكثر من 2,000 عنصر من الجيش اللبناني وعائلاتهم.
هذه التجربة توضح أهمية الوحدة والتعاون في تعزيز السلام والاستقرار. دعونا نستمر في كسر الحواجز وبناء مستقبل أفضل للجميع.
